Little Current to Usual Reason Cove
Spent the night at Eaton Cove just west of Little Current. Sailed with Last Resort to Usual Reason Cove to try to find fairly warm water! The water levels are at record high – 4’4″ above mean levels. A full foot or more higher than last year!
Spent 2 nights here and Jane informed me that we were running out of food! She had thought we were going to spend one more day in Little Current when I capreciously decided to go out to anchor. Back to Little Current on the 23rd.

Western end of the East West Channel of McGregor Bay
Sailed from Heywood Island to McGregor Bay and into the E/W channel. Anchored in 72 degree water. Spent 3 nights here and the views were spectacular. Tried fishing, but just lost most of my tackle! Stuart gave me some 30 lb line to stop that from happening.
The mornings were so still that the reflections were almost perfect. We kayaked down to Seven Bells and back down a narrow channel. It was just the two boats (*Bisquit City* & us) until the last night when another boat anchored.

Usual Reason Cove – Had a leisurly morning and then went to climb to the top of the mountain overlooking Baie Fine. Long difficult climb, but the views as usual were worth it!.

July 1, 2019, Mon.

After coffee, we departed Casual Reason Cove for Little Current. Supplies were low and the head needed pumping. Got to LC for the 2:00 bridge and tied up at the town docks. Jane did laundry and food shopping, I did some upkeep in the boat. Left the dock at 6;30 and anchored in Eaton Cove for the night.

After spending the night in Eaton Cove, I took Jeter to shore on Picnic Island. Because of the high water it was a horrible place to take him! Left Eaton around 10:30 and motored on a windless day to Croker, arriving around 2:30. We anchored and tied to shore to make sure there was room for *Bisquit City* (they had some additional items to pick up in Little Current). Had Kate and Stuart over for drinks and dinner. Nice quiet evening.

Another day at Crocker. Beautifual and Sunny! Went for a kayak ride and ended up going all the way arournd Crocker Island…a little over 4 miles. When we got back and rested Stuart (Buiscuit City) and I went fishing. Not even a nibble!! Quiet evening…bed.

July 4, 2019, Thu.

Went for a swim at Crocker, the left for Fox around 12. Had a nice slow motor and got to Fox around 1:30. Anchored in 5′ and relaxed for a few hours. Decided to see if the fish were biting. Started casting in shallow water and caught a 2 lb bass on my 2nd cast. Went to show him off and the knot slipped…lost the fish and the stringer he was on. Searched, but couldn’t find him. Jane spotted him an hour later, but by the time I got there…no joy. Tried some more, caught a smaller 1 lb bass, but released him. More swimming (HOT!). Dinner, bed!
