This blog is about the retirement adventures of Jane & Larry Van Deusen. Jane, an art teacher for over 20 years, retired at 62. Larry an Industrial Salesman, Product Manager and Marketing Manager for  acouple of pneumatic tool companies, retired (partially) in 2013, and fully in 2017.

In retirement, we have always dreamed of living on a boat. We purchased a Pearson 30 thinking that would be the boat, but after a couple of years sailing her (Tailwind), we decided she wasn’t quite big enough.

We did some searching and found a Hunter 34 (Britainia) in Grand River, OH. We bought her and renamed her Windfall (the name of our first boat..a Shark 24… and started getting her ready for some serious cruising. As you read through this blog, you’ll see it’s a work in progress!
