Drove to Drummond Island Yacht Haven, Checked in to cottage and hooked up Windfall’s Batteries, plugged in boat, turned on charger…ALL GOOD! Had dinner with Jorge & Barb from Diadema at Northwood Restaurant. They are having problems with their engine. Exhaust Manifold leaks.

Helped Jorge get his mast up. A couple of men from Cedarville who stopped for groceries and fuel, helped me put up the new Genoa. Looks great!

Finally got off the dock! Had a rousing sail to Thesalon. Cleared Customs (251594490001). Beautiful day with lots of wind! Tied up on a really low to the water dock in the only space available. The wind pushed us onto the dock and yellow paint from the dock marred my topsides. Wind let up in the evening and we had a quiet evening. Fancy showers!

June 10

Left Thesaolon for Gore Bay. 9 hours of motoring in a pea soup fog. I need a radar reflector!! Got to Gore around 5 and docked. Quick trip to the grocery.

June 11

Met a couple on a small trawler named Critical Cruise (?). She’s a retired Nuclear Engineer and he was captain of a nuclear sub!  Went to dinner at Bouy’s and had a quiet dinner.

June 12

Shopped for groceries and other stuff (Jane determined to support local businesses that are being harmed by street construction on main st.) Had ice cream, although it was cold out! Went for a walk around the bay.

June 13

Left Gore Bay around 11 after getting fuel and pumpout. Sailed for about 2 hours before the wind died. Motored to Little Current.

June 23

Woke at 6. Warm. Had coffee and started to install new pump on the head. Missing thte valve/gasket for the base. Called Glen onVHF and he had it. He brought it up and I finished the installation. HOT day! Had breakfast and did some tuning on the mast. Need to get some 1″+ split (cotter) rings. Glen ordered some from Amazon, and Janice will bring them up.
